The New Jersey Folk Festival will be held on Saturday April 29th, 2023 on the lawn of the Eagleton Institute on the Cook Campus of Rutgers University, New Brunswick. The 2023 festival theme for the main stage is “New Directions in Folk” and our Heritage Area will feature the theme “Cultures of Cultivation”.
The festival, which draws up to 10,000 people, is a project of the Department of American Studies and is an anchor program of Rutgers Day. The festival welcomes applications from craft and food vendors who will expand the cultural experience of the festival and provide culinary and artistic products for our festival guests and participants.
The deadline for all applications for craft and food vendors has now been extended until February 6th 2023!
Craft Vendors: We seek applications from artists and crafters based in New Jersey and the surrounding region who create and sell their own quality, handmade arts and crafts. New this year, we will also consider book vendors who are offering new and used books relevant to the mission of the festival.
Food Vendors: We seek applications from food vendors from a wide range of cultural cuisines! Our vendor selection process will favor vendors whose offerings are oriented towards New Jersey communities, cultural food traditions, and local produce. We seek vendors and menus that will offer a range of options for all dietary requirements.
