Join us next Monday for the first event of the 2023 New Jersey Folk Festival! We will be hosting an interactive musical workshop with Kuf Knotz and Christine Elise in the Douglass Student Centre Lounge, titled ‘Out of the Box: Exploring the Power of Influence & Genre Bonding’. Kuf and Christine are a spoken word and harpist performance duo that combine hip hop, soul, and new age music to create their unique sound. Named Philadelphia Magazine Best Rapper of 2022 and 1 of 10 New Jersey Musicians you need to know, we are thrilled to have Kuf and Christine returning to perform at the New Jersey Folk Festival this year.

During the workshop, participants will be invited to listen to the duo perform, followed by a group discussion about influences on creative thought. The workshop will conclude with an experiential on the impact of genre blending and ways it can lead to a new direction of expression.
