Supporting NJFF
The Festival is not possible without our 250+ volunteers and the generous private and public contributions, grants, and sponsorships to support its programs. Thank you!
Rutgers Giving Day
Rutgers Giving Day is a chance for our Rutgers Community to support the many academic, community, and student programs that make our university so vibrant and impactful. Your donation is managed through the Rutgers Foundation and goes directly to support the New Jersey Folk Festival through the Department of American Studies.
All funds raised through the Rutgers Foundation and through Rutgers Giving Day are solely restricted to support the New Jersey Folk Festival.
The New Jersey Folk Festival is a collaborative project that brings together students, faculty, staff, community members, and artists to create opportunities for recognizing the diverse cultural art forms alive in New Jersey today. We create an annual festival, exhibits, performances, workshops, and media projects to explore intercultural creative expression shared by our campus community and the public at large. Our project provides important opportunities for students to get hands-on experience in producing arts and culture programming and media that can help launch their careers in the arts, public service, business, and any profession that requires project management and communication skills.
Your gift can help us in many ways:
1) Providing support for artists and community members to participate in our programs and engage with our students
2) Providing technology and infrastructure which will give our student interns access to the best tools for creating media, performances, and programs
3) Helping cover the cost of program infrastructure – tents, stages, auditoriums, and sound production – to make our programs accessible for the public within and beyond the Rutgers campus.
